David reviews the mission and scope of the USCMI, current & upcoming activities, working groups, panels, funding, and research priorities.  Using a poll, David recorded the top priorities for the tug and barge industry, which indicated a desire to have support for training and recruitment for mariners, relief or grants for first movers in alternative energy production or use, and investments in infrastructure and regulatory agencies that oversee programs related to the regulation and maintenance of the marine transportation system.
