Distracted Operations

This Distracted Operations Subcommittee Report includes information and best practices for preventing distractions or mitigating their effects on vessel crew members. The Report is broken into three categories:

1.                   Guidance for a Sterile Wheelhouse policy formation, 

2.                   Best Practices for preventing distractions for new mariners, and

3.                   Shoreside Best Practices for Communication to Vessels. 

The report concludes with a summary of two targeted survey reports that informed the committee's work.
