Reporting of Spills

RCP-compliant companies are responsible for recording spills to water of oil or any other hazardous substance, in any volume, that is considered non-incidental to the normal operations of the vessel. (Discharges of oil from a properly functioning vessel engine are not deemed by the Clean Water Act to be harmful and, therefore, do not need to be reported.)
