Chuck Jenkins – NSC – Health Safety and Environment Expert

 

Chuck reviews the principles of human and organizational performance (HOP) and behavior based safety, touching on human factors and learning organizations as important factors in a well-established culture of safety in a maritime organization. In addition to reviewing the principles of HOP, Chuck ties parallels between transportation and construction industry human performance programs and the audit program used by the Oil Companies International Marine Forum in its audit program, SIRE, which will include human factors in an update titled “SIRE 2.0”.
