On behalf of the American tugboat, towboat and barge industry – the largest segment of American maritime – AWO congratulates Chairman Graves and Ranking Member Larsen of the House Transportation & Infrastructure Committee, and Chairman Ezell and Ranking Member Carbajal of the Coast Guard & Maritime Transportation Subcommittee, on House passage of H.R. 4275, the Coast Guard Authorization Act of 2025. This legislation takes vital measures to strengthen our nation’s maritime commerce, including by protecting navigation safety on the Hudson River, strengthening workplace protections for mariners, and establishing a dedicated Secretary of the Coast Guard. AWO is proud to support H.R. 4275 and looks forward to its speedy enactment into law.
